All i'm saying is our pass defense only improved once he got injured.

Mcdermontt likes aggressive corners, look at the seahawks, 49ers, Ravens corners -- all are aggressive. Gamble isn't.

next caller.

Amazing how there was a relationship between our pass defense and the emergence of Greg Hardy. Its almost as if they had something to do with each other.

Gamble counts 7.9m against our cap. We are about 10-11m over at this point. We have some tough decisions to make to get under the cap. Gamble was a good player for us, but looking ahead it makes sense to cut him and get a younger player in the draft. If we make a trade or restructure him great, but unlikely. I wish him well and thank him for his play here, but he just isn't

one of our core players at this time in his career. Thats life in the NFL.

i would love to keep gamble at a reduced price. if get solid saftey and dt signings in the offseason this defense would be elite. our corners got better without him because of better pass rush which will also make gamble better when he comes back

Guys here's the thing. Gamble is probably a top 13ish corner coming off a season ending injury. He's getting up there in years but will likely still be effective. He's overpaid but would maybe be amenable to a home team discount. He's been in charlotte for 8 years for god's sake.

The Panthers will likely not find anyone better to replace him.

They need to restructure him and keep him here.

100% agree

If Gamble was that bad of a player he would have been gone a long time ago, some people dont know the hell they are talking about and probably havent been fans that long.

It's not that he is a bad player. We are WAY over the cap, he has a huge cap hit, and he hasn't been deserving of that money the past two years. Most fans love Gamble, but know the reality of the situation.
