Philip Lutzenkirchen. A solid TE to replace hartsock and get some crucial playing time and reps. Him and cam are already familir with each other and he has very reliable hands IMO. thoughts?

Am I the only one who thinks Barnidge looked A-okay once we finally went back to the 2TE set and he got on the field? He caught passes and blocked well. He was another victim of that option mularkey we started early in the season. Everybody said we missed Shockey last year, but what we missed was the 2TE formation. Barnidge has adequate skills and would be cheap to bring back.

I do like the idea of Lutzenkirchen to become lead fullback when Tolbert's contract is up. He is old school tough.

I thought Barnidge looked good when he got opportunities last year, he seemed to have good hands. I don't believe Lutzenkirchen would be an upgrade.

Agree with the sentiments toward Barnidge. I know he didn't have many catches, but I honestly can't recall an incompletion thrown his way. And they weren't all wide open, easy catches. And decent YAC on the receptions I can remember. I think he just needs to be included more in the game plan.
