Luke Kuechly as a rookie.....was just as good as Beason in his prime

It's funny, I made a thread stating this at the end of this season, and people really came out to disagree with that statement.

That sir I cannot agree with.

if both were equally healthy and there was only 1 roster spot available Beason would take it easily.

Game worn Conner jersey for sale @ the team store right now, 50.00.

We let Conner walk because Rivera determined that he wasn't enough of a leader to be an effective MLB, and that's the only LB position his physical skill set is suited for, so no thanks.

Nope. Luke has better measurables in literally every tested category. He's also equally as talented,if not more so. This is not a knock on Beason either because he's awesome, Luke is just better

To line up and play a game?

Or to be part of your team going forward? Going forward Luke's ceiling is just higher.

lets see here your logic: rookie MLB wins RDPOY > 3 time probowler 2 time all pro MLB

And you don't think that there will be a discussion at all at MLB? Gtfo

Excuse me for having a memory that goes back further then last season.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Rivera already seems set with Luke at MLB.

From the day Kuechly was drafted, this was fairly inevitable, but the job of massaging Beason’s feelings (he clearly prefers playing the middle, and is better there) was one the Panthers were careful with.

But now, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said he thinks when Beason returns (his recovery from knee surgery is on target, and he’ll have shoulder surgery soon), he’ll come back as an outside linebacker.

“When you look at the different skill sets, I think Jon’s got the skill sets to play inside and outside a little bit more than Luke does. Luke’s skill set lends more toward being an inside guy. So we’ll see,” Rivera said, via Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer.

“It’s still a ways away. But I think we may have found something here. I think it’s one of those things that you do what’s going to be best for us.”

I love how fans want to reflect on the past with Jon, and even Deangelo. Sorry, but someones past isn't their present, Beason had knee surgery AND shoulder surgery, pile that on with a surgically repaired achilles. He will not be the same player he was, you can post all the workout videos you want, and highlight videos from the past but we're in the present.
