Luke is the Mike

End of story

Good luck to Beason even earning a spot on the field

Not really sure how this could even be in question for anyone....

Here is Jon Beason having that discussion as was reported on panthers.com

"When you look at the different skill sets, Jon has skill sets to play inside and outside a little bit more than Luke does. Luke, his skill set lends more toward being an inside guy," Rivera said in December. "I think we may have found something here. It's one of those things where you do what's going to be best for us."
Beason understands the Panthers defense may work best with Kuechly in the middle. He's open to the idea and is willing to adjust.
"Playing on the outside is no biggie for me," Beason said. "I'll have the same approach to how I play the game. I think if anything, it's going to make me more motivated, because now I have to fight a little harder to make more plays."

It was so obvious they already had the talk.

lets see here your logic: rookie MLB wins RDPOY > 3 time probowler 2 time all pro MLB

And you don't think that there will be a discussion at all at MLB? Gtfo

Excuse me for having a memory that goes back further then last season.

There is zero chance that Luke will not be the starting MLB this season....and many to come.

then you guys have a bad case of the new shiney.

I'm not saying it won't be Luke but there will be a discussion about it.

Rivera has already confirmed Luke is the MLB moving forward.

Watch Panthers Pulse with Beason from a few weeks back.. He himself acknowledges Keuchly is the Mike....

Too bad for Dan, the trials & tribulations of the modern-day Penn State linebacker...

yeah, beason's already conceded. he knows that kuechly has the job. more than that, he knows kuechly deserves it and has earned it.

he knew how good kuechly was going to be before kuechly was drafted.

beason was great, but he's no kuechly. beason's role here, should he decide to take a significant pay cut to stay (which he would anywhere he went) would be playing on the outside and if TD is healthy, beason will have anderson's spot.

Luke Kuechly as a rookie.....was just as good as Beason in his prime

It's funny, I made a thread stating this at the end of this season, and people really came out to disagree with that statement.

That sir I cannot agree with.

if both were equally healthy and there was only 1 roster spot available Beason would take it easily.

Game worn Conner jersey for sale @ the team store right now, 50.00.

We let Conner walk because Rivera determined that he wasn't enough of a leader to be an effective MLB, and that's the only LB position his physical skill set is suited for, so no thanks.

Nope. Luke has better measurables in literally every tested category. He's also equally as talented,if not more so. This is not a knock on Beason either because he's awesome, Luke is just better

To line up and play a game?

Or to be part of your team going forward? Going forward Luke's ceiling is just higher.
