The 80's were just a bad decade for cars in general. There's a few exceptions, but damn. It's like they forgot all about nice lines and aesthetics. Wait, they did plenty of nice lines in the 80's. Maybe that was the problem.

I blame the oil embargo, Japan, Kajagoogoo, and pop rocks.

first new car I bought was an 88 Mustang GT....hot damn that thing could fly. So much power.

at the time I believe it and the Corvette were the only two cars with 17" wheels...as far as readily available cars. I burnt the stock tires off in the first month or so doing burnouts etc for my friends. Then I discovered that they were over $300 each to replace...and that was the end....or at least it minimized the number of burnouts I did after that!!!

But if we're talking the modern era. I think the late 90's Dodge Viper GTS is probably one of if not the best looking car ever made.

If I had to get a new car I'd definitely try for one of those. They are just bad-ass

thats fricken hot for sure!

I'd be tempted as well...and I'm probably not far off from shopping as my current ride is an 04.

I'm thinking that Charger or a Camaro being I just bought a truck not too long ago so I'd have the winter months covered.

I'm also considering another Acura TL as I love the one I have...but they are also coming out with a new RLX in 2014 I believe.

Also considering an Audi of some sort. So many choices!

Or double breasted shirts....or thin leather ties.

Ahhh....the 80's fashion. Gotta be the worst decade in history for that.

my dad almost had a hemi cuss with insurance money from being a passenger in a bad wreck. Grandpa said no way though, and dad had to get a 340, 4 barrel, slapstick instead. He talks highly of it but only has a couple pics. He didn't sell it til shortly after I was born, and that was to put money down on a house.

Porsche 911....in matte black. 0-60 times are nice, but I like 0-100-0 and how well they do on a road coarse.

I think this show sucks because of the way they test, but it's the only head-to-head of the GTR vs. the 997 I saw...

GTR wins.

Granted however that neither of these cars is a slouch.

pffftt. I'm done with cars. I want a crew cab Silverado with all the trim. 0-60 in 6.9, and can haul more than ass. Posted Image
