dumbass finally caught up. Technically speaking he is correct. Now factor in our 3.6 rollover money and we are under!

He's been adamant in saying his math figures in the 2012 rollover though.

He also said he was an "english major" as well too. He is not getting his numbers from a team source, he is doing his own fuzzy math off of articles written by other people. Believe Person if you want, I don't care.

Just replied to my Twitter ? asking if he was including rollover:

Joe Person @josephperson

@UNCrules2187 @spotrac they're off on Thomas Davis' numbers. He had playing-time incentives that kicked in.

Still, according to carpanfan96, TD's incentive was only $500k, not $3.5m... :/

and he's still joe person.. He is consistenly late with info on the panthers and typically gets his info from other writers. He did the math in his head( this much he admitted). His numbers are not from a team source, meanwhile spotrac has every contract listed and rayzor posted the results for you guys to see.

I don't know if his total number's are corrected or not, but the Sport trac site has some interesting calculations on signing bonuses. Like listing Tolbert's at 2 million and only figuring up 1.6 million in his contract numbers.

He might have had more then I knew of, which is completely possible since I don't work for the Panthers. I know he had play time incentives and option bonuses and such built into his contract. He's basically still making the same amount he was before his restructure, it's just done completely different now

Just a note though, that Sport trac website is off on quite a few contracts just from glancing through it. Nothing major, but 100k here, 500k there and it adds up quick..

If you remove the extra 500k bump I put into my numbers, then I've got the panther's at 3.548 over the cap. I actually might have added to much into my bump up for incentives for players on the team.

So 3.548 seems about right and I'd suspect that's about what Person has the team at right now.

overthecap.com coincides with what Person is saying. So fug it, me the casual fan appears to be wrong and Person finally looks to be right.

That is no more of an official site than spotrac....

I will believe what the team releases soon enough.

lol. I'm just trying to understand where my team is on the cap. No need to get offended.

Joe Person@josephperson

Twitter has created a generation of amateur and armchair capologists. Among other things

LOL he mad. At no time was I rude about anything...I'm not trying to be an "armchair capologist" wither. But 6.6-2.5 doesn't equal 3.5.

Hes a gigantic tool. I dont follow him anymore because he is either 12 hours late or completely inaccurate when it comes to Panthers news.
