sucks just a parody of the real harlem shake that debuted many years ago.....i dont think its funny either....miami heat got one now...its a fad that will be gone in no time.....

The real harlem shake used to appear in hip hop videos when I was a kid. This 'harlem shake' is a new flash mob type fad, and I kinda like it, I just hate the name (because its not the harlem shake)

I kept seeing/hearing stuff about it over the last few weeks and I was thinking, "why are people talking about this like it's new?" What I didn't realize is that it isn't the actual Harlem Shake. The REAL Harlem Shake became popular when I was in my late teens and was prominent in music videos. It was usually just one person doing this:
But, now the "new" version of Harlem Shakes are something totally different. In the videos I've seen people making now, very few, if any are actually doing the dance itself. Regardless, some of them are really funny... The Heat video with Dwayne Wade wearing that Bear head just makes me want to laugh for some reason. Pretty cool movement IMO.

Wait till some of you guys have teens and pre teens and watch the speed in which a fad gets run into the ground.
