IS to do away with Black history month and any other thing that celebrates only one race. Things like that is what is keeping us living in the past. We will never be able to progress as a nation as long as we celebrate one race. PERIOD. There were great whites, Native Americans, and other races and it isn't fair that their history doesn't get celebrated at all. For some reason some people believe they are entitled to be treated a certain way because of history. It's bullshit and it needs to stop in order for us to progress. I'm white man, and I just feel like the time has come that everyone needs to be treated equally. And that isn't happening. Can you imagine having a WET or a Whites only dating website or a white history month? Man I can't imagine the backlash.

The real problem about black history month, is that you can't accept it as your history, just as much as a black person can accept it as theirs. All the stuff that went on in the civil rights era, is american history. It wasn't just the fight for black americans, even though that couldn't help at being the forefront. All in all, people of all ethnicities, should embrace this history as their own. The sooner that happens, the sooner there won't be any reason for it to exist as it does. Until then, it's kind of like the movie Groundhog Day. It will keep happening every year until we get it right.

More ways to eliminate racism is by doing like KT wants and have only black players and coaches in the NFL. That should make everything better. Or saying black NFL players should go on strike over the Lovie Smith firing. You know, stuff like that.

The only REAL way to kill of racism is with education. It's a long grueling seemingly impossible task. But if education and information are proliferated freely across the planet then eventually as generations replace each prior generation there will be fewer and fewer people who are racist.

Believe it or not this conversation is a sign of progress. Yes the OP is ignorant, but he is free to be, as his particular section of America has been for a long time. But now other parts are free to be ignorant as well, and that, well that is the true blessing of the USA!!!! So hey, if you feel that way about WET or White dating sites you are free to start as many as you like!!! And if you want to teach white history by all means write a textbook, but I would very curious to see what history you find that has been left out.

Heck, I enjoy looking back at my Scottish heritage. Why would I deny others that same right?

The Scots and the Irish aren't exactly the best of friends

In reality though, I don't have any actual enmity toward the Irish (or anyone else) myself, though I joke about disliking the Irish because of my heritage. Ditto the British.

I would add I've done my part for cross-cultural understanding by dating a Bucs fan. Still haven't dated a Saint or Falcon fan though.

I have a great appreciation for both. Plus I like to consume vast quantities of alcohol.

Honestly I could forget the Bucs are even a rival, they are harmless and practically make fun of themselves.
