Bad day for female kicker hopeful Silberman

"It's not always length."
No, it is also about accuracy, but your short kicks were not straight either.
Well, she did find a way to be the first female to try out for the NFL. I guess that is an accomplishment in itself. However, I do not think her a hero for “making it easier for the next female player by removing the pressure of being first”. I think she is hurting that cause as everybody will think “Oh, another female trying out for kicker as a joke” even though there might someday be one that has a slim chance on merit.
I actually think a female kicker had a better shot in the 80s (and maybe 90s). Back then 100% from short range was not expected and anything made from 45+ was pure bonus. So a player, regardless of gender, with short range but very accurate up to 40 yards would be a possibility on an NFL roster (of course the punter or a KO-specialist would handle KOs). That should have been doable by a woman. But against todays kickers? I change slim to no chance.

This quote tells me she has got to be the daughter of a football coach. Or she knows John Fox.

But, that being said, you can take that neg rep and blow it out your ass.
If you are that uptight in real life then your existence must be miserable. I know rape jokes are off limits, but could you guys hit me with another few one-liners mocking religion and making fun of one's personal belief systems? I hear they're all the rage in the netherparts of the Huddle. Herpaderpderp.

No, just pointing out the double standard. I don't neg rep the same idiots that neg repped me for the earlier post in this thread everytime they post how anyone with religious beliefs are weak-minded, feeble retards.so your defense of rape jokes are that people make religion jokes
It's en vogue to joke about, insult, and discriminate, but only when they say so.

In all honesty, how'd she get the tryout? Her form is atrocious and looks like how you'd expect a chick to kick. Not how "the first female athlete to get a tryout at a pro sponsored event" should look. She kicks like my 8 year old son.
I have to assume her leg was REALLY REALLY fuged up. So much so that she couldn't follow through or reach back or plant her foot or anything. It looked at best to be an attempt at an onside kick.
From the interview on NFL Network. Anyone can try out. There were talking 400 lb guys showing up to participate.
It sounded like she was taking on the video game companies because they didn't have women on their game.
It was a farce, an insult to real women athletes. She said she only started kicking a couple months ago. You could tell her leg was more flab then muscle. She could barely put the ball on the tee.
I don't have an issue with a woman trying out for kicker or punter. If they have the skill to do it. Kick the ball out of the endzone or kick a 55 yd field goal. Don't embarrass your gender to make a Fuging point with a video game maker.

Who cares that she can't really kick... I'm sure there are some really good female soccer players that can... who knows?
I don't give a monkey poo who is kicking for the Panthers if they make FG's and kick it out of the endzone on Kickoffs.

It'd have been one this if this was Mia Hamm, or Hope Solo, or a recognizable superstar woman's soccer player...but this is a MIT grad student who's writing a thesis on video games and played on a recreational soccer team 5-6 years ago. If any woman has a shot, she will need to be basically the Lebron James/Cam Newton/RG3/Michael Jordan of female genetics, and be a name you already know. Even then it'd be a less then .00001% chance it'd be anything but a publicity stunt.
