Sweet Charlotte can give them some money, not the entire state.

Charlotte sports teams, events and venues contributed $2.2 billion and 23,000 jobs in the six-county region last year

Little bit bigger than just Charlotte, but i see your point.

Do you realize how incredibly difficult it is to just define "charlotte" as the sole benefit of the carolina panthers? Have you ever heard of the "commerce clause" in the constitution and how ridiculously abstract it is? Take that, and apply it to the city/state level and boom. Confusion.

Itd be stupid to assume this doesn't contribute to the growth of charlotte

Impossible. Charlotte would be the same booming economy without the Panthers, I mean Charlotte has already paid for the stadium, giving them money would be illogical.

(sarcasm)

Amirite?

If this was most anything other than Panthers relevant you all would be against it. :)

Jobs are jobs. See Obama's infrastructure plan. He doesn't distinguish between temp jobs and full time jobs.

That speaks more to his intellect than to his judgment.

I would support public funding for anything that promotes the growth and status of our city and state. In the end that will help job growth, public transportation expansion, attracting top talent. Etc. Like a drive through BBQ/Mexican/Pizza joint with nude waitresses that only serves the food I like and will only serve me.

Good news is when they move to LA we won't have to worry about losing Cam to a big market team.

If only the Panthers were as good at lobbying as the fracking industry.
