2 years 12 million. wow why didnt we get him. That's nothing for a special player

Because we have many other holes to fill?

Because the Huddle tells us signing good players in Free Agency is the fastest way to lose.

Yes, because Wes Welker is really the missing piece to us making a super bowl run

Pats offered him 2 yr/16 mil last season, Welker wouldn't take, got tagged, and is now playing for the Broncos at 2 yr/12 mil

He probably makes out better this way anyway? I'm assuming the WR tag number was something like $11-$12m, so his 3-year pay is $23-$24m. If he had taken the 2-year, $16m deal, and then signed the exact same deal he just signed after next season, his 3-year pay would be something like $22m ($16m + $6m for the year after). And who's to say a year from now he would have gotten this same $12m deal? He ends up going from one HoF QB in Brady to another in Manning and with about $2m more in his pocket too.

Pats only offered ten.

Crazy in comparison to what Dwayne Bowe and Mike Wallace got. We should of made a run at him.

Your stupidity knows no bounds.... Besides if there is one QB that to switch to from Brady it would be Manning.

I remember his time before New England very well. He was mediocre and nothing special at all until Tom Brady crossed paths with him. Tom Brady is pretty much a football Jesus who turns nobody's into stars. Nobody goes on to great careers after they leave the Patriots and most of their players aren't great when they come into the Patriots.

He looked good under Cassel too, Not to mention any of the receivers Manning has made into stars.
