drafting a guard in the first round is like spending $80 on a pair of underwear

But what if that pair of underwear gets you laid a lot?!

If good guards are so extremely easy to find why have we had poo guards for the past 5 years

Damn imperfect analogies!

Uh hum. My point is that drafting Cooper or Warmack could still be the best move we could make on draft day. With the way the running game is, with how we play Geral McCoy 2 times a year, the impact of a guard could be huge. We wouldn't even be paying all that much for them with the new CBA. I don't really get why it would be a waste.

It would be a lot invested in the position but we would have a lot of talent there for at least the next 4 years with Silatolu and Warmack, Saints won a Superbowl in the time they had both Evans and Nicks.

I thought last year's total neglect to address skill positions in the first and second round would've quenched the huddle's propensity toward underwhelming first round additions

Could Cooper move to T? He looks athletic enough. Moves really well for a giant man

You want a 6'2 OT?

same reason we've had weak WRs for so long and bad QBs....hurney magic.

Screw it, sign Vasquez or Moore and draft Wormack. Not really but I am tired of our weak assed interior line.

my philosophy to having a great defense, having a good offense. putting up a poo ton of points takes pressure off defense and allows for offenses taking advantage of rules and officiating in their favor and burning your defense.

both philosophies are correct, tho.

If your going offense in the first round how in the hell anyone can even try to justify a guard over WR is beyond me.

Because Gettleman has talked about BPA and non of the WR seem to be very impressive.
