Reading the thread title, I thought you were saying that we re-signed him.

Ambiguity by design. :) Much like being Top Dawg, but also a cerebral cat. Is my profile pic a Panther or a dog?

I don't think we have $4M per year for a backup. Moore would have been a great option here.

Good for him. Was always a class act.

Agreed. Happy for him. He always came across as a good guy, and Miami is probably a good situation for him.

For the record, yes, I would have been fine with him here as well (though for less than what Miami is paying him).

I would have liked to see him go try to get a starting job, but he obviously likes his role and Miami. Good for him.

He didn't try that because he knew he wasn't capable of getting one

I'm actually happy for him that he didn't.

Moore actually plays much better as a guy coming off the bench than he does as an established starter.

That's the cycle. he comes off the bench, plays well, someone says "he should start" and so they start him, and suddenly he starts regressing. Why? Unknown (probably mental) but it happens.

Mind you, he's not the first to fit that profile. Most of the guys who do at some point come to accept that their best option is to be a career backup. That may be what Moore is doing now.

Happy to hear it. He is good for Tannehill, and our team.
