He gave us some good years but as a fan I'm not very happy that he chose to retire after he got cut rather than help out the Panthers.

I think you'll see more and more players making this decision in the "concussion era".
Take the money and get out.
As a fan it sucks, but as a person and former medic it's a very smart move. What good is having a ton of money if you don't have enough working grey matter to use it?

This!I can't believe there is even a bit of hate on Gamble. The guy has been a class act since he got here...and never a distraction and for the CB position that says a lot.
Definitely a class act. Best wishes on all your future endeavors, Chris. Had a Gamble jersey, glad I never have to see you in another uniform!
