Will miss JA. Always thought it was cool that he was an art major
almost pie'd, then realized you're sighting it because you're an art major too. . . removed pie

So this may have already been answered, but can you cut a player NOW and designate him as a future (June 1st) cut?
Yea, the team did that with Wharton. It just helps the player out and not the team.

What I want to say right now is thank you. Thank you to the Panther Nation, the fans, who have supported me for 7 straight seasons. No matter where I go, you and your love will always be a defining part of who I am as a player and as a person. Thank you to my friends, family, and teammates who have always had my back. I will continue to Keep Pounding and I want the Panthers players, coaches, staff, and Nation to do the same. Getting ready to start a new chapter in my life. I look forward to it and hope you'll be there with me for the journey. I'll miss Charlotte, my 2nd hometown for these 7 years, and wish all the best to the Queen City. Most importantly, thank you God for giving me my health, strength, and ability to continue to play. I am blessed. Much love to all.

Hey Getts, keep that knife in your hand until all of Hurney's retirement plan contracts are purged from the roster.

"They appreciate what I did. We're loaded at the position," Anderson added. "They thanked me and wanted me to go out and see what the market is like, which is why they're doing it now."
So it sounds like they wanted him to renegotiate and he wouldn't, so they're letting him test the market compared to whatever restructuring they were offering.
You may see # 50 back at some point...
