Definitely fake... I too live 5min from there and have sold cars in the area. You can not just drive into Phillip Morris for a test drive the car salesman would know that.

It's not like the car salesman was telling him to do it. You can't really drive that recklessly either but obviously he was going to do whatever he wanted no matter how much the car salesman screamed. It's not like the is an emergency cut off or brake the car salesman has. He could have driven to the speedway and done some laps if he really wanted to. Don't think there was any stopping him.

It was definitely staged, but I don't think it was entirely fake.

It's not impossible to prank someone, but Phillip Morris is gated. Yes u can drive wreck less and no there is not a cut off switch, but there is a huge gate that is locked that any local that is minutes from Phillip Morris would know about including the sales man. That would be a huge tip that something was up. I know u like the video buddy but get real it's fake. There are even cameras in the car to show the " hidden camera in the Pepsi can" getting placed in. There is no time to get that in whke filling out simple test drive paper work

That wasn't even Gordon driving the salesman around.

It was a stunt driver.

Hickory Record has an article on the shoot.

It still is probably Gordon driving. The other guy did the stunt work which may have been setting up the route he would take. Or the guy may have driven some of the stuff on the closed circuit camera shots. Still funny.

Every time I'd drive by the 'Troutman' sign off I-77 coming home from college, I would imagine a hybrid man/trout superhero. Like Aquaman, but not really stupid.

At the end of the day, who really the fuck cares if it was fake or not?
