Not feeling good about this season

We are in terrible cap health, and now some panic because we won't sign overrated contracts? Mindf*ck

That is because most huddle posters now:

1. Have the football acumen of a 12 yo girl, and

2. Think you run a team like Madden football

Amazing

I can't believe you created this thread off a bunch of mid tier free agents. Percy Harvin may have been one of the only game changing moves made and he is injury prone. Team chemistry creates championships not free agent signings. If you need proof look back at the Eagles from two years ago.

God we suck! Why couldn't we have been overpaying FAs on the first day!

This is like being a child and not getting a Christmas present in FA. This would be the year we have to play SF and Seattle.

there is no easy fix for our situation until we can shed these contracts. Our only hope is we get great play from the remaining talent we have.

We're 10 hours into free agency and you're giving up on the season already. You sir, are an idiot.

It should be worth noting that every year there is some poor noob Huddler that makes a thread like this early calling the team out for not patching the horrible bleeding we have at so many positions, and every year the huddle skewers him and says "it's only the first day!!!"

Followed by

"it's only been a week!! Relax!!

Preceding

"it's barely been a month!!"

And the last bastions

"we'll probably sigh all out big free agents just before the season starts!!"

concluded by the final delusional dweebs

"dis ain't madden brah! Good teams don't sign good players! They probably get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs!!"

And every year the Panthers stick to "the plan" and continue to wallow in their shame and ineptitude and don't go spending no dollars no confoundit free agents when we got some good ole decent folk on our own the ole fashioned way at the RB position

And then the panthers miss the playoffs and fans act mad and then Richardson promises real change and sends your PSLs in the mail and then doesn't actually do anything else and the cycle begins anew

Just worth remembering

Did we have the Falcons beat in Atlanta? The bears in Chicago? Yes. Tampa Bay in charlotte? yes. How did we lose each game? Defensive backs. We are 10-6 if we had some DBs. We are VERY close as we are. No reason for gloom and doom. We nearly went 10-6 with a 5th round rookie CB, a special teamer at S, and a second-year, fifth rounder at the other CB spot. Munnerlyn is a limited, smallish 7th rounder.

We need a DT and a DB or two. On offense, a RG and maybe a WR. we are close. GMan is doing all he can.

I feel great about this year.

1. Cam entering 3rd year

2. No expectations - always when we have success

3. We have been a play away from under Rivera from being 10 win teams...Cam gets us over now (especially since he has been forgotten)
