I still say I would rather have Jake in 03 form over Cam right now. Cam will become elite, I dont doubt that, but the fact that Jake was really a below average NFL QB and did everything he did makes him a legend in my eyes. Easily my favorite player ever, and a childgood hero.

I understand the Jake love...but there is no way I want him over Cam right now.

2003 was special, nonetheless....that Super Bowl performance was legend....ary.

But over Cam.....come on!!

Jake Delhomme took us to one superbowl, then ruined any chance we had at returning.

Because Rodney Peete or Chris Weinke would have had multiple trips?

I'm surprised no one is pointing out who the old school candidate is for the bears, the name sounds familiar.

2003 Jake was just magic. You knew he was going to pull it off somehow. I don't mean this as a criticism of Newton but when it comes down to the play of the game he just hasn't captured that magic yet.

Right now, March 13/ 2013. Jake is in his prime (03-04) and Cam is Cam as he is today. you have 2 minutes left, on your 20 yard line down 4 to win the Super Bowl. I putting Jake on the field. No disrespect to Cam. I love Cam. But Jake lived for "the moment". Thats what made him special imo.
