Good riddance. Better to be without him so #2 TE becomes a legitimate need, than to have mediocre players lingering around delaying us improving our roster.

Toilolo in the 4th?

Good ST player.

You guys do know that backup LB's/ TE's are especially important on Special Teams, right?

Yes, they are important. It is also important to be able to scout and develop young players to fill these roles as opposed to paying too much for special teams play.

It is a bit disconcerting we're not going to sign anybody and we've created a lot of holes on a team that just went 7-9. Better draft well...

lol not even 24 hours into FA and a lot of talent still available but since we haven't picked anyone up i guess that means we won't.

too funny.

Meh, I never hold it against a guy personally for seeking out a potentially better opportunity. For whatever reason, he never really made an impact here in Carolina. Maybe he thinks he can in Cleveland.

If a player leaves and then runs his mouth, then fug him. But, if a player leaves for more money or to seek out more opportunity, then best of luck to him. Most all of us have done the same at some point in our own careers.

meh, lot of TEs in this draft. Barney was a poor man's Olsen. We need something a little different than Olsen.

He lives down my way. I see him at the Gate getting gas in his big ass green pick up.

:-( His license plate says Big Gary :-(

Have fun in that cold and dirty shithole, Big Gary

I agree, I was not saying that we should sign him, just that everyone should lay off his ass a little about offensive stats.

That's not why he was on the roster.

I think Barnridge would be a great player if given a proper chance. but he didn't even step on the field until hurney left. Getting to where i can't stand chud anymore though.

Cleveland is signing the backups from a team that uses career backups as starters. No offense but I doubt they are really scaring anyone.

Good luck to Gary though

If he could be a great player, he would've gotten a chance. There's a reason why we went out and got Shockey when Chud was wanting to run a bunch of two TE sets. He showed promise in '09, but after that... nothing.
