I'm sorry, what response did you expect from a denial of reality and wrapping yourself in the flag/Constitution?

Accusations of racism

Failure to engage in any reasonable discussion

Attempts to deflect attention to said bigotry with sohpmoric rhetoric

Well, it looks like this thread covers it all! Let's see what discussion you can engage in when one-liners don't work.

Again, care to debate the actual platform of the Tea Party regarding fiscal responsibility and individual liberty? or would you rather continue on with your usual shallow musings bereft of any actual substance?

it must be nice to have such a cut-and-dried paradigm

and of course the superpower of being able to cram anything anyone says into a neatly dismissible package by simply mislabeling it

the actual platform of the tea party is fuging stupid. you reduce deficits when the economy is booming and you run deficits when the economy tanks (unless you're a "fiscal conservative" in which case you take office when the economy resembles something functional, slash taxes, start two wars and then pretend like social security and the post office are draining the budget). the united states isn't a household budget so please get the fug out of here with your "b-b-but fiscal responsibility" because you have no idea what that even means within the context of the national economy.

CANTRELL, COMING THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH! You guys are racking up the points here.

Fiscal responsibility - making sure we neither commit to spending more than we can afford, nor committing funds to causes that infringe upon peoples' rights to their property through compulsion (threat of detainment, prosecution, penalties, etc) resultant of a majoritarian tyranny. Care to try that again?

So you propose fiat currency to cover our unfunded liabilities? Meanwhile, we'll simply devalue everyone's savings, earnings, wealth, etc at the mercy of a Fed that is apparently answerable to no one? Great idea! Except.... oh yeah... that's never worked anywhere! Thanks Kruegman. Next please.

Again, you guys are killing it in this thread. Keep 'em coming!

helpful hint: when your political ideology has literally never, ever worked anywhere, you might want to hold off on playing the "that's never worked anywhere!" card when arguing against the world's largest economy

You're right. Freedom and fiscal responsibility are failed concepts we should abandon.

We should follow what is going on the EU right?

nah, we should just run deficits during recessions and pay down debt when the economy is functional (instead of using it as an excuse to cut taxes for the rich)
