This guy is usually close...it is only a projection. Like free agency, nothing for the Panthers.

Had we not resigned DWill during HurneyFest2011 we would likely gotten a 3rd round pick..

So basically we would have traded for Olsen by moving our 3rd round pick to the end of the 3rd. :D

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!

I'll be honest with ya.
I am as down as everyone else, but it will be next season when we truly see if Gettleman is an empty suit or not.

Unless it happens later down the road he has only eliminated 1 bad contract.

Beason, Williams, Godfrey are still out there and need to be dealt with.

After considering it I am not surprised Gross and Beason haven't redone their deals. Beason sees he has to prove something to have any value on the open market, he is going to be playing in a position that in the past he didn't excel with, and will likely be cut next season. it makes $ sense for him to get his salary now and hope he can get paid again after he is cut.

Gross knows he is old and will likely never get another big pay day. He is getting his last or next to last cash now. Taking a pay cut doesn't make $ sense for him either.

When next March 12th (or whenever first day of new league year starts) hits we can see who is pulling the strings.

Cap friendly moves with Gross/Beason/Williams/Godfrey should happen before that day and be significant.

Basically Gettleman has to do the work of clearing out bad deals and starting over that Hurney refused to do in order to keep his job.

Yup, Gross and Beason would be crazy to take a pay cut, nothing in it for them.

Gross would be the most likely out of the two though....IMO.

So we don't get those two extra sixth round picks people were claiming we were getting?

I'm pretty sure we are due picks for Conner and McClain. Two 6th rounders?

We cut McClain.

Connor didn't play enough for a comp pick I don't think..

I think Connor could yield a 7th. He did play quite a bit after the injury bug hit the Cowboys LBs. The other possibility I believe was Schwartz.
