Panthers talking to Munnerlyn's agent again

Recommended Posts

of course he is.

the market is flat and no one is offering more than single serving sized bags of doritos.

the best chance he has for anything close to a decent deal is here. ultimate goal right now is to have a job. you take what you can get and don't risk being even more desperate later.

within a week we're going to see a lot of people signing patheticly low contracts for one or two years. desperation is going to make people sign deals they wouldn't dream of signing even a month ago.

He was probably looking for money as a starter but instead was been offered contract as a nickel, gentleman wanted him to know his value, and was not willing to over pay like the old boss

I dunno how much cap room we have left to sign him. According to the official Panthers FB we re-signed Ben Hartsock.

Munnerlyn's agent has spent the last week waiting by the phone eager to hear all these great offers from teams calling about him.

Yea, fortunately a $52,000 salary, a company Ford Taurus, and a $32 per diem meal allowance from the Bengals didn't sway Captain's agent. Now we got a chance for a discount.

I also figure we have seen some folks get deals so we know where we stand as well. Know we can see if we can meet in the middle. He would be a very good piece to nail down. For that matter so would Edwards. I wonder if there is any leverage to renegotiate as well or if he is already gone in essence.
