adams is going into just his 2nd year. more interested in seeing what he's got than pilares at this point. also, adams ceiling is higher...a lot higher than pilares. that said, if we cut loose adams, i wouldn't be all that upset.

I guess it just comes down to when is the right time to give up? AE has been decaying on this roster long enough, we all know that. I just don't want to get rid of guys who may not have had the proper opportunity. Pilares hasn't seen substantial time at WR. Adams could come around, he was only a rookie.

You can use Ted Ginn Jr as an example of this.

maybe should have left it somewhere else?

too grainy. too much work to watch. couldn't get past 20 seconds.

so i don't have to watch it, what was the point of it? pro-ginn or anti-ginn?

yea sorry the quality is poo for the first minute or 2... it gets better, but you can still tell which pixels are ginn. Its all their biggest plays in college so its pro-ginn. To me ginn just has that track mentality in the open field and its awesome to watch.

i've just never seen anything from pilares that at best suggests anything more than an average receiver. very low ceiling. i'm not sure what more opportunity would reveal.

nothing against the guy, i just don't think he'd be very difficult to replace.

hope this is true....ginn will be a playmaker for us, something we desperately need in special teams. Anything he does WR wise is an added bonus. I'll be busting out the Tanqueray whenever he makes a play....mmmm.

Fair enough. Either way the position should and will be addressed in this draft, hopefully we win big.

i'm hoping for a huge turnover. by the time we roll into next season my hope is that we have only 2 or 3 WRs returning from last year with the others replaced by FAs and draft picks and i definitely want one drafted in the first or second round.

Can't argue with that. Worth mentioning this should be a make or break year for Lafell too.

agreed. 2013 is the last year of his contract. he either turns into moose or we cut him loose.

we need to act this year like it's smitty's last and/or lafell won't be back.

we can't count on both of those guys being here after next year.

That's such a scary thought

it is. and i don't trust anyone on the roster past those two to be anything close to comparable.

it is a very real possibility, tho. and with us being a passing league and having so much money tied up in RBs...the picture just keeps getting uglier and uglier.

No negatives to bringing him here. If he beats out Lafell and Gettis in TC I'll laaaaaaaugh

Ginn would be a nice pick up, based on his STs ability. Nothing more than a #3-4 WR tho. I see AE being cut along with Gettis :( . I think Pilares sticks as a #4-5 WR/slot guy. Adams gets another shot. So IF we pick up Ginn, I see us adding a couple more WRs through FA/draft.

I like it but does this mean we won't go after Tavon Austin
