Jamey Eisenberg@JameyEisenberg

#Panthers coach Ron Rivera would welcome back DeAngelo Williams, but he knows that might not happen. Said team is open to trading Williams.

Shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone.

WTF?

Well, that sets a good tone with him for the rest of his time here.

Also, good luck finding a team to take on that salary in the meantime.

No team is dumb enough to take on DeAngelo's huge contract.

minus the guaranteed money, which we would eat, his salary isn't too horrible for someone to pick up.

No team is dumb enough to take on DeAngelo's huge contract.

he would take less than $5 mil from the cap for a team that traded for him, could use him as a 1 or 2 year rental then cut him before he makes close to $7 in 2015 with no penalties.

Why wouldn't we be open to trading him?

funny...3 hours ago rivera wouldn't field questions about williams.

Joe Person@josephperson3h
Rivera deferred questions about whether #Panthers are taking trade offers for RB DeAngelo Williams to GM Dave Gettleman.

Trade, paycut or cut...

The only options, and in the prefered order.

No one is going to trade for an overpaid 30 year old RB. We could pray that Chud would take him off our hands but I don't see that happening. Teams are just gonna wait for him to be released.
