And the Dline got no pressure and couldn't stop Charles.

Exactly, it was a combination of things. However drafting Richardson does not improve our run stopping issues.

Nobody thought Watts would be as good as he is against the run. Not comparing just saying. Plus the kid had 75 tackles which is unheard of for a DT.

On a team with this many needs you don't spend your first rounder on "quality depth".


You do when you're looking to upgrade. Dwan is good, but he's not a stud player, and he's on the back end of his career. This is the perfect situation to bring in a hot prospect at DT. He can play behind Dwan and then in a year or two they swap and Dwan becomes the depth. Again, I'm not saying we will or should, I just don't get why people are against the idea of a DT in the 1st.

Personally, I'm hoping we can get good value at DB, as we've been hurting there for years. But that would likely require moving down, which isn't easy.
