Why or why not? I'm surprised he isn't considering Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Andy Dalton are already captains on their respective teams.

Cam and Luke should both be captains next year.

Cam, Gross, Beason and Kuechly. Or maybe Munnerlyn as a ST captain.

Steve Smith is automatically a captain.

Did those teams also have 10+ year vets on offense that were already captains?

Yeah, to be fair we do have a lot of tenured vets on our team, we have Gross, Kalil, Smitty, Godfrey, Thomas Davis, Beason, Olsen, D-will, even Hangartner would probably be considered a captain.

We will have THREE five star captains next season, with Gross, Beason, and Smitty.

Maybe lately, but even a couple years ago I don't think he was named a captain. I could be wrong.

I think Senn will be the ST captain again. He was last season, correct?

I say yes for Cam and no for Luke, but only be ause Beason and TD are both multi year caps. I think it's important to have CJ as a cap, he was a different guy vocally once he got that "C" on his chest. The DLine is the staple of our D, so going forward I think CJ should remain a cap.

Will Cam be a captain? Most definitely. The training wheels are off now. The torch has been passed. Whatever cliche you want to use... It's his turn to step up and be one of the leaders of this team, his team.

CJ, Keek, Cam and TD.....I love Beason and i know he is a great leader, but this is the future. We need new vocal leaders who can relate to the younger guys. Keek earned the "C" last year. He is the QB of the defense.

If Cam isn't named Captain this year, the media will make a big deal out of it, so for his sake I hope he is.
