If you're not a golfer, you may not understand the difficulty of that shot. Adding the guy standing there just makes it much more difficult, but... for amateur golfers, it's nearly impossible, much less repeatable.

If I did that it would be because I wasn't trying to do that

If that were me, the guy wouldn't have a thing to worry about. If he were standing to the right, then he should be worried.

It's about this time of year where I get the itch to go play.

I play about 4 rounds, and then it's the itch to be on the boat, and I don't see the clubs again for 11 months.

I flopped one over a thin trap from about that distance 2 weeks ago to within 2 feet (possibly 1st successful flop ever) and managed to 3 putt.

From 2 feet? Sounds like you putt about as good as me... :(

If I could putt, I could shoot par.

Ha yea, I treated it as a tap-in and overputted by 4 ft or so.

Phil is a master with a wedge in his hand. I think the new Groove Rule has effected his game adversely recently.

The flop shot is the part of my game that is totally absent, I need to blow the dust off my 60 and work on it.

I played in California once on a course that was on the side of a mountian. This really threw your perspective off and a putt that looked like it would break slightly left would break slightly right. It was the single worst putting experience of my life.

Flop shots I'm ok with. Bump and runs from tight lies own my life.
