We just signed Chase Blackburn

He better be cheaper than Anderson

Well considering he was a UDFA signing by Giants in 2005 and his salary last year was around $825k, I'd say the odds are pretty fuging good.

Special teams?

I suppose. Know the name and remember the Brady pick Dpantherman posted but thats it. Makes me wonder why we just didn't keep Jason Phillips, I personally liked that guy.

He had a career year last year with the Giants.

98 total tackls, 64 solo. 3 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, an int and 6 passes defensed. That's pretty solid for a mid level talent MLB.

He's basically a white Anderson who can actually cover anyone other than my grandmother, and costs less than a million dollars per year.

Panthers GM Dave Gettleman nabs a player from his former club. With the Giants since 2005, Blackburn started 15 games last season, but simply isn't quick enough for a starting role. He'll serve as experienced insurance for injury-prone 'backers Thomas Davis and Jon Beason. Blackburn manned the middle for the G-Men last season, but won't play a snap there in Carolina provided Luke Kuechly stays healthy.
