According to a report by Scout.com's Aaron Wilson, the Panthers officially met with Notre Dame safety Zeke Motta last Friday.

Clemson WR DeAndre Hopkins is visiting with the Panthers today. He's already had a private workout with WRs coach Ricky Proehl.

As the pre-draft process continues the Carolina Panthers are meeting with LSU outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Seen as a 3-4 rush linebacker or possibly playing the leo linebacker role in a 4-3, it's hard to see where he fits in Carolina's plans.

3 more to add to the list: I wouldn't mind any of these guys. Real high on Williams and Jones.

Tony Pauline@TonyPauline2h

Sylvester Williams/UNC, Akeem Spence/Illinois, Datone Jones/UCLA all drawing lots of interest from Carolina Panthers: http://www.TFYDraft.com

From the link:

- The Carolina Panthers are expected to select a defensive tackle sometime during the draft’s initial three rounds. I am told the team brought Sylvester Williams/North Carolina in for a visit and has worked out Akeem Spence/Illinois and had dinner last night with Datone Jones/UCLA whom they are working out today.

Fresno State S Phillip Thomas is visiting the Bills on Wednesday.

He visited the Redskins yesterday and has spent time with the Panthers, Steelers, and Falcons. Thomas is purely a center field safety, but he can be very good at locating the football and disrupting the catch point. he takes some good angles when tackling, but his finishing ability in a two yard radius is extremely maddening.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports BYU DL Ezekiel Ansah will visit the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.

Ansah's already visited the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns. Now he can add two more teams to his list. The Cardinals could very well be interested in selecting Ansah, provided he slips to their pick. They need another pass rusher, as do the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are moving to a 3-4 defense this year under new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Ansah's not expected to last to their pick, No. 15.

So we still haven't worked out Richardson? Really think we're taking a DT in the 2nd or 3rd if we trade back.
