I think bringing Shockey was Chud's idea. I'm sure he had to talk Hurney into it.

Wait wasn't Shockley here before RIvera was hired. I know Shockey was here before we drafted Cam. Wasn't he brought in as a FA right after the 2010 season.

No. Rivera was hired in January. Shockey came in March.

Rivera was hired in January 2011, Shockey signed in March 2011.

You are way off base in trying to make that assertion.

Gettleman resigned Dwan and added Cole. That is the equivalent if adding the role players in the secondary or at WR.

He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He filled holes in FA that will allow him to go in many diff directions in the draft.

If you don't think that OL, DL, WR, CB, or S are very real possibilities in the 1-2 rounds, you are an idiot.

Are you serious? Cole may not even may the cut. He could be just a camp body

the giants also always had a good wr corp as well.

What's the bigger need right now? DT or WR if we add Hixon. Def NT. tell me if I'm wrong

Hixon would be a very nice addition to this team. Btw, what happened to Devery Henderson? has he signed w/anyone?

This dude is better than Lafell imo and would be a great addition to the team.

If we sign Hixon, then I think we can kiss our chances of drafting a WR in the first round goodbye. We've already got Pilares, Adams, Smith, Gettis, LaFell, Bryant, Ginn Jr, and Edwards.

I wouldn't mind parting ways with Gettis, Edwards, and Pilares to make room.

I think he's like a Jason Avant. A good asset but obviously not going to be your 1 or 2.

Great concentration on the difficult catches. We can use that for those occasional times when Newton gets into a streak of "general vicinity" passes.

Got away with a push or two in there. I think Moose used to call that "veteran advantage"

One amusing note: He did Steve Smith's "spin the ball" celebration at one point, appropriately after a 37 yard catch against the Falcons.

If they're satisfied he can stay healthy, worth a shot.

Would laugh my ass off if they signed Hixon and Barden.

For the record, I disagree with the notion that more receivers signed automatically means no possibility of drafting a receiver in Round One.

What can I say Chuck? If you think you 'know' that one of the top DT's will be there, you're being tunnel visioned. Players get grabbed earlier than expected every year. Aye, I've said my part.

Smith and Lafell are literally the only receivers on the roster with total job security.

well poo a 6 minute highlight video is good enough for me. Outside of smitty our wr's cant get more than a minute highlight video lmao

Someone should make a 6 minute video for Lafell
He was underrated last season. 677 yards with only 14 games played as a #2 receiver isn't bad especially with a TE on your team with over 800 yards.
