Let's the consider the following, with Gross' days possibly numbered and Lane Johnson likely not to drop, do we dare to take an OT in the second or fourth round this year?

Terron Armstead's stock is on the rise and will be available in the second round, do we take him on BPA?

We need 2 day one starters with our first two round picks, not sure if he is a starter off the bat, but I admit I can't evaluate linemen worth a poo.

His immense athleticism does make him BPA. In fact, Armstead is now considered the fifth best OT in the draft. His speed and footwork could give talented DEs and pass rushing OLBs fits if developed properly.

i bet we'd draft him to be starting RT, then push Bell into RG.

Granted, he wouldn't be a Day One starter at LT but it could prove to be a smart investment if he's coached on the bench behind Gross. His potential is sky high, after all. His only knock is experience, and possibly size.

Incidentally, scouts say that he be converted to a Guard.

He would be the teams most athletic Oline guy with Bruce Campbell. Like to see Bruce make a leap in production..would be a huge roster changer!!

First time I saw footage I thought he was a small college guy and could be a good late round steal. Did not realize he was going to dart up draft boards. I would not mind him in the 2nd at all. If we can get a defensive player in the first (DT, CB, S) and him in the second I would be happy.

Saw DJ Fluker on sports science, seems like a reliable addition to our line. 2nd round? Dunno. But we may have to reach a bit given that we don't have a 3rd.

This draft is so heavy on OL as well, I almost can't see how we don't take one in the 2nd given all the depth. And since we have added guys to our secondary, I think it makes a lot more sense now to take OL.

I thought so too, at first, but Armstead is being targeted by the Cowboys, Packers and Patriots in the second round.

I'm kinda off Fluker after the lackluster combine, pro day and senior bowl.

Rather wait for next years draft to address the Tackle position.
