Hixon is also a solid kickoff returner...so we should be good there with Hixdog and Ginn. Our WR/ST pool just keeps on growing, eventually it's going to be adios for some.

Agree.

Adios to Edwards. Likely adios to Pilares. Who knows with Gettis....I just can't get a good read on what us really going on with him.

Bryant is likely in the PS again.

@MikeGarafalo: One-year deal for Hixon with the Panthers that will pay him more than $1m.

I really don't see the need to carry a number 3 QB at all

Facepalm

Why is it a facepalm to hope a guy who showed solid to great potential still gets his chance?

This offseason will not be a success so long as Fua and Clausen are wasting valuable roster spots come the season

Take it easy on Fua, he has room to grow and be valuable depth.

Gettleman is really holding true to using free agency to fill holes so that we can go BPA in the draft. I like it. Would like to see a veteran olinemen join the fray and maybe a space eating DT but I think those signings are coming. Might be after the draft though.

Decent FA signings, they're definitely going to have to trim some fat somewhere though.

He'll get his shot at the start of camp just like all our other scrubs. You need to let go of any hope that he makes the team though. He's pretty much a guaranteed cut at this point, baring an amazing showing.

Fua will probably eventually be released, but we're likely just keeping him around for training camp.

Wide Receiver is still a huge need but I think Smith, LaFell, and Hixon (with Newton at quarterback) is better than whatever we have on the offensive line, our secondary, and our defensive tackle spot (we still need someone who can consistently stuff the run game and control the LOS because Edwards isn't that guy).

Actually forgot about the Ginn signing as well. I'm not expecting anything out of him as a WR but he still forces defenses to think about the deep ball whenever he's on the field.

Gettleman is slowly but surely improving this roster. I attribute this to bettering our depth and the bottom half of our roster like he said he would.
