Technically they didn't suck, they were actually one of the favorites to win the National Championship the year Auburn won it until they got caught and lost nearly every key player.

They then proceeded to suck.

I think that guy you're arguing with is an App fan.

LOL.

And FYI UNC would have played in the ACC title game last year if not for the probation.

Do u watch UNC FB as much as you watch UNC BB?

So wait when Reggie Bush accepted free poo from a convicted felon and wannabe agent USC was thrown through the mud, and the school was "cheating", but when a school actually pays their players and bends the rules to keep them eligible it's "made up drama"? Makes sense.....

Until its proven, what I hear from sports media is junk, at least in my opinion anyways. I know they blindly get there nut here and there, but there has been to many swings and misses, particularly with Auburn and Cam Newton, that sports media is almost national enquiresque to me...Thats just me. Until theres hard evidence, ill take it with the smallest grain of salt....

Take a listen....

So, all the players are denying and saying the things she quoted them as saying were misquoted. She claims she has recordings of them saying what she quoted them as saying, but she doesn't want to play them.......hmm....This is hilarious really. Cant wait for the next round of allegations due probably at the start of the college season, then we will for sure hear about some possibly around the middle to end of the season when the bowl picture starts to shape up (if auburn is worth a damn) , then finally when recruiting starts to get in full swing. ....then we start it all over for the 2014 season, ...blah blah blah......

Shock- some people will act like this doesn't go on at almost every major program, in most big sports.

Yep, in today's college football landscape school's have to pay players under the table through boosters, alter grades to keep players eligible and so forth. Most of these guys aren't going to college to learn anything but football. Some of them aren't even smart enough to learn anything but football, but they still go to a major university and get good grades.....

Three things are a possibility here.

Auburn was really good in covering up all the mess that was going on while the NCAA was there.

None of this junk ever happened.

The NCAA found out about, knew about it but left it alone because they didn't want to derail a major team with tons of publicity from going to the NCAA title game.

I know Im an Auburn fan, so I may be bias here.....

This all started with Cam Newton. The news outlets Had a huge major story that Auburn payed Cam to play for Auburn. The evidence just wasn't there...It was based on rumor and he said she said sort of stuff. The media ran with it, it blew up, the NCAA, the FBI, practically every media sports reporter in the country were in Auburn searching every nook and cranny looking for something....anything at all. There were so many rediculus things like ..."ohh,...theres a tape recording of cams father verball accepting the money,...but uh, the guy who has it is uh, on vacation in europe, so we wont have it for a couple of weeks"...then the much awaited tape everyone held their breath over finally arrives....and its inaudible....sounded like a fart in a can.......Solid evidence!! Then there was Danny Sheridan bag man,...he was set to announce the name of the mysterious bag man, and blow the whole auburn cover up out of the water live on ESPN for the whole world to know. When the moment finally comes, Danny says he cant tell because he doesn't want to throw the person who told him under the bus,....but he reassured us all that there was a bag man, oh yes....a bag man...and that was good enough. Finally, after all the FBI investigations, the media scrutiny, the stirred up rumers, The NCAA after over a year long investigation announces they found nothing...nothing......

Now, 3 years later, we still hear the butt hurt media cry to save face,...you have Selena roberts trying to convince the world, that with the NCAA, the FBI , and every crack pot journalist at Auburn looking for a story, the school somehow manages to offer money to their players and alter players grades....now how is that for a magic trick? huh??...pretty amazing.....

Now theres ESPN "the 2010 Auburn tigers used synthetic marijuana!!!".....but uh, it was legal, and wasnt a NCAA infraction at the time,....but still!!........

What I think, is that the media wants to save face so bad...they want to find anything they can, and they wont stop til they do.....its crazy....but its also becoming kind of entertaining to me as well...
