Not gonna get a lot of love for this, but that'd be awesome if they move to California. Not sure we need another team though? I'll sacrifice the Chargers in exchange.. :D

PL I would say that Sparkle City does see a boost in tourism revenue from folks going to camp at Wofford..at least the Beacon does.


Yes, we do ... and we invested in the public-private partnership to upgrade Wofford's athletics facilities to make sure that happened. Charlotte sure didn't pony up in that situation.

The public money that is being used to help with the Falcons new stadium will come from the Atlanta Hotel tax. So the way I like to look at it is all Panthers, Bucs, and Saints fans that stay in Atlanta will be helping finance our new stadium.


LOL, I stay as far away from the ATL as possible.

It's all good - we were making the same point, city built that airport up from nothing and now the state has decided they want it.

The irony is that you could add a .5% tax on food and bevs without saying anything and nobody would notice.
