When you have a diverse set of folks get together to discuss hot button issues, you will always get the back and forth we see here in the Tbox. I personally think that certain things influence your perspectives. Just wondering, the difference in a 20 yr old and one who has a 20 yr old. Please post your status as far as married and kids and their ages.

I will start.

Also I think there is more to a person's perspective than his demographics.

For example, when I lived in other parts of the country where people of different races actually got along with one another and didn't segregate themselves, I used to roll my eyes at the tinderbox posters who yelled racism.

Now that I am in NC, I think ok maybe they had a point.
