Julius Peppers > Steve Smith

I like Steve, just being truthful.

Julius Peppers is the best defensive player in the NFL and still in his prime.

Bc he was such a gifted athlete....it looked easy and effortless.

Therefore it was spun as lazy

I think it's because people confuse lack of effort with laziness. Maybe there is a correlation, but his lack of effort if not obvious, was evidenced by being called out by Beason in 10. He probably has more insight than any huddler.

if he was lazy....a player that has played over a decade would have at least 2 players or coaches comment on it. Peppers didn't....all he had was Jon Beason overreacting to a MNF game in the world of instant mistakes thanks to technology.

and for the record, Beason never said poo to Pep...only apologized

As a fan who watched his whole career and have seen every Panther game, I can say I have seen it on the field in person. It doesn't happen often, not as often as fans on here like to blow it up to be, but I have seen it myself. Also, I don't believe it is laziness I think it is a lack of effort due to a motivation problem stemming from Peppers wanting to leave.

Any interpretation of Beason's feelings towards Peppers is speculation. But he did call him out like I said, you can get out of that whatever you want.

Julius Peppers > Steve Smith

I like Steve, just being truthful.

Steve Smith didn't jump ship for the extra few million the Bears offered that stroked Peppers ego. In fact Smith has a quite modest contract. Never complained about his horrid situations. Smith is by far a better Panther and is still the heart and soul of this team. Peppers has never been the heart of any team, ever.

Julius Peppers is the best defensive player in the NFL and still in his prime.

GTFO I know you are the same PredatorPeppers that slobs 90's knob on footballsfuture. Do not come here to talk Panther football when you are obviously a bandwagon Bears fan. And no Peppers is not in his prime and is not the best defensive player in the NFL. Or should I remind you again how both our DE's outplayed Peppers this past year.

the OP has 95 posts so far.....in this thread...the thread he started.

95 posts in a thread that would have never existed if we had a post count minimum to start threads.

Steve was very close to doing just that....it is business. Steve isn't here b/c of the Carolina Panthers and our fans....he is here b/c it made the most sense for him and his family. That is what players do....

If Rivera gets fired...a window next year could unfold for Smith to potentially retire OR leave....

not sure how this is a bad thread. some of you are just butthurt over the thought of even discussing it. i haven't read everything, but it seems like the guy is just giving his opinion and some of you are literally freaking out over it.

"THIS GUY DOESN'T THINK STEVE SMITH/SAM MILLS IS THE BEST PLAYER IN PANTHERS HISTORY?!?!?!?!" (keep in mind he didn't say "greatest panther ever" he said "greatest player in panthers' history" aka best player to wear a panther's jersey) "WORST THREAD EVER!!!!111!!!"

you guys are silly
