OK, digging for potential talent, I came upon Jasper Collins (WR).

OK, I was a little bummed that we didn't draft T.Y. Hilton last year, but that hasn't stopped me from trying to root out that small college talent with great potential. Jasper Collins is probably a name few of us have heard, but dude was a beast last year in division III ball, gaining 1694 Yards last year.

One thing of note is that he is already being scouted by the pats:

Shorts briefed Collins for a recent meeting with Patriots wideouts coach Chad O’Shea, who flew to Stark County to conduct a private session.

He also returns kicks.

Cecil Shorts came out of Mt. Union and he's doing pretty well, on the Jaguars of all teams.

I wouldn't mind a late pick on him.

wth, rayzor? would you have said the same thing about cecil shorts, pierre garcon, or t.y. hilton (even though he was from a different school). you would have been scoffing at Victor Cruz also, right?

Collins is at least projected to be drafted in the mid to late rounds. I suppose it doesn't move you that he has been scouted by the likes of the Pats, among others? What in the world?

I love small school WR prospects - HUGE potential with very little risk - but what's with the "next Legatron" comparison?? That's not really reaching for much...

So basically since the Patriots are scouting him he must be the next best thing?

I'm trying to recall all the great WR's the Pats have drafted lately, but strangely I'm drawing a blank.

Why use Legatron in the title? He's a kicker. :/

This was a nickname huddlers gave to Legedu Naanee when he played here in 2011.

I'm entirely confused why he is mentioned in a thread about a WR prospect, since he is a mediocre receiver.

If we're going to draft a receiver from a small school late in the draft, I'd prefer Aaron Mellete.

Thats the truth, LOL. If the Patriots are looking at him we need to run like hell. They are just awful drafting receivers. They have gotten just about all their wide receiver talent in free agency.
