CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have released linebacker Kenny Onatolu.

Onatolu signed with Carolina last March to help on special teams and provide depth on defense, but he suffered a right elbow injury in practice five weeks into the season and landed on injured reserve a week later.

He played in four games, recording three special teams tackles.

$775k cap hit.

looks like we've got another vet that's going to be signed soon.

this is probably how it's going to be for most the offseason.

Maybe, or maybe a DT. We've already added additional LB depth this offseason.

Do we lose $775K in cap space or gain? 'Cap hit' could be read either way to me haha

I went over to Spotrac and I didnt see in his contract any dead money, so I believe we gain the 700K. I could be wrong though....
