yeah, there's a few more that could easily be added.

Exactly. This draft has great depth at WR. I'd be happy or happy-ish with whatever prospect we'll draft.

There are lots of capable bodies at WR, but how many of those guys are considered legit 1st round talent?

Dobson yea, Patton I expect to be gone by the time we pick at 44 so I wouldn't call him a sleeper exactly....

agreed. i like this class.

to catman, i think that we'll be seeing a WR with the 2nd pick. the amount of WRs they've worked out/visited with tells me that they've got a pretty good pool of prospects that they would be able to choose from, even if they waited till the second round.

I could see that as well, and maybe I'm off the mark on the depth of the WR class - but my impression was that the talent level dropped off pretty sharply after the top 3 (Hopkins, Patterson, Austin in no particular order).

Yet, there's no talent gap between prospect #1 through prospect #5. Hell, you could stretch it. One or two might have a bigger upside but there's no clear stud in thus group.

Perhaps but I don't see Patton going that early.

I could definitely see it, he's solid at everything. I think Patterson/Austin/Allen/Hopkins/Woods go in the first with a chance that someone takes a chance on Hunter's freak physical gifts. After that I think the next guy off the board is Patton....

the way i've been looking at it is there are really no megatrons in this class, but there's plenty of starters in this class. the majority of thos WRs listed will find themselves as one of the top 3 WRs on their teams (and i pretty much consider the WR3 a starting gig as the league turns more into a spread offense driven league. the amount of PT and targets separating the #2 and #3 are very small).

just like the QBs from recent years, the WRs are coming into the league more ready for the pro-game than they have been in years mainly due to the pro game looking so much like the college game anymore.

we don't have very many getting a lot of hype, but it's really kind of a flooded market with good WRs this year. hard to really distinguish between them.
