That'll be an interesting game. I'd like to see how the draft goes before I pass any judgement. We need to get better upfront before week one, or else were done

I'm hoping this year is like 08. We underperformed the year before, start the season as big underdogs against a team that was hot last year and proceed to beat them on the way to a good year. One hopefully with a better ending.

It could happen.

I have targeted September 8th as the day I return to happy Kendrick. I've been told I'm a better human being when football is in the air. So how do we start the season 1-0?

-Get Beefy. Get Physical. Last years opener was a disaster because we showed up to a fist fight wearing sunglasses. This year put on your helmets and pound the Seahawks with a true running game. The read option will always be a wrinkle but the Seahawks are too athletic to run around. You need to run them over.

-Be prepared. The entire league knows who Russel Wilson is now. We know he needs throwing lanes to complete passes and we know he scrambles. Have a killer plan to confuse and control him. Luke needs to stuff skittles at the line of scrimmage.

-Play conservative for as long as possible. Then make the correct decision. You don't want to take risks because Seattle is built to capitalize on sloppy play. Be conservative and keep possession. There will come a time in the 4th quarter where you have to make a bold decision. Don't look at statistics from the past 20 years. Look at what you see on the field and make the right call.

-Special Teams. Stop Percy Harvin. This guy will be the edge in a close game if you let him.

-Show up. Set the attitude of our season. In 2003 we had an amazing home opener. People still talk about Proehl in the corner. We need to fill the stadium and be loud. Be proud. Get the team ready to go and put pressure on the Seahawks.

We have 6 really good players on Defense, and they are all in the front 7. We get a DT and a DB, which would give us 8, and we could be looking at elite territory.

Even with that said. We are only going as far as our Offense takes us. As is, we have the potential to be scary good. Which very well could make us a playoff contender. Add a few more upgrades, and that potential pretty much becomes a reality.

Man is it a great time to be a Panther fan or what? Oh yeah, and GOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it sounds cliche to say score more points than them, but Gettleman could essentially create one of, if not the most dynamic offense's in the NFL if he decide's to go offense with the first two picks.

Picture this...

QB - Cam Newton
RB - DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart
FB - Mike Tolbert
WR 1 - Steve Smith, Domenik Hixon
WR 2 - Brandon LaFell, Teddy Ginn Jr.
Slot - Tavon Austin
TE - Greg Olsen, Gavin Escobar

That offense could put up 28 a game in my opinion...

Yup

-Keek and Beas need the lay the wood on Lynch.

-Pressure Wilson with just the front 4.

-Have Munnerlyn, if not shutdown, at least limit Harvin's production.

-Not make any special teams errors or ugly turnovers.

-Have Smitty show Sherman, Browner and Thomas that that their size means poo.

-Put up at least a buck fifty on the ground between our backs and Cam.

-Take what they give us over the middle and on the checkdown. Go for the big play when it's there.

-Win.

Seattle was suspect last game against Cams runs. Id like to see us spread them out and let Cam run a couple times. That should bring the D in. Also keeping a spy on Cam, opening our O up.

If we play up to our potential I think that the only team that can or should be able to dominate us is San Francisco. We should have beat the Seahawks the first time.
