Verge, I hope this isn't too much, but I would love to hear your views on Austin, Vaccaro, Rhodes, Hayden and Patterson.

Austin - I think he is incredibly fast, can straight dominate at the WR spot, and honestly is someone we really have not seen at the position before. (Kind of like Cam in that way) Though if I had to compare him to someone it would be an odd hybrid of Percy Harvin and Wes Welker. His acceleration once he touches the ball is insane and is legitimately the fastest player I have seen on tape. I would love the pick even if he is a slot receiver/gadget player.

Vaccaro - I love Vaccaro a lot in our division, his big frame and quickness along with smooth hips allows him to cover Graham, Gonzales, Clark, etc, and his ability to get off the blocks and shoot into a hole makes him awesome in run support and that makes him a nice fit in our D. He is also a very solid open field tackler and he is big and fast enough to not get destroyed on the deep ball and is very aggressive in the pass game with 14 pass break ups over the past two years. He is obviously not perfect, he needs to improve on his back pedal, he needs to improve on vision, and he needs to improve his leverage. I believe he could be a key piece, and my money right now is on him winning DROTY

Hayden - I think he is the best pick available, he has super quick feet, he can jam a receiver at the line very easily, he closes incredibly fast, and he is a very solid tackler. I guarantee he will be a pro bowler/all pro within two years. He does not really even have a downside to his game, just the face he is only 5'11". I have serious doubts he will even drop to us.

I like Patterson a lot as well, reminds me of a young Donald Driver or Demaryius Thomas. He is a bit of a project but will be able to straight dominate if he develops properly.

I do not care much for Rhodes.

talking out of your butt huh?

How am i talking out of my ass, friend?

Steve Smith is currently 198lbs, and was 184 coming out of Utah. He also Brench Pressed 22 times at the combine, and we all know how strong of a WR he is.

Tavon currently weighs in at 174 pounds, and only 14 reps at the combine. Due to these things may scouts question his durability in the NFL, and if he can be anything outside of a slot guy. Desean Jackson is 175, explosive? Yes. But his durability is not very good. Not to mention he probably can't bulk up too much without losing *some* speed. He's still going to be fast but he has a small frame honestly.

I'm not saying he'll be a bad WR in the NFL, he's gonna be a playmaker but I doubt he'll be too urable in nfl at sub 175 and using him in 3 different ways like any of you say (WR, HB and Returner, the latter two take the most hits in the NFL) and honestly? I'd much rather have someone who could line up wide.

I strongly believe he will be gone and the pick will be Patterson or Hopkins. TE or S in the 2nd and DT in the 4th. Just what I believe.

Yep, Bucs will draft austin, book it.

He really thinks hayden will go in the top 15 after his injury??

I believe it as well, Hayden is going high and he is going to be very good.

So? Does that mean he can't play? I bet if you asked steve himself, if he thought Tavon was to small to play in the NFL, he'd probably just laugh.

Also adding 10lbs of muscle wont be hard to do nor will it slow him down. Still think its funny that Panther fans dislike a guy because he's "too small".

I never ragged on his height, I mentioned his weight and durability.

Stedman Bailey is 5-10 and I'd *love* to see in a Panthers uniform. i honestly think he'll be a better overall WR than Austin.

Thanks, I don't think I noticed that last year. Carrier's comment doesn't say Rivera wanted him, and I have to assume that the desire for Barron had to be Hurney's. Glad he's gone so we don't have anymore near misses like that.

However I do have to think it's kind of dubious that Carrier would even say that. Either he was drunk, stupid, or throwing out some misdirection or something. It doesn't make any sense to basically tell your newest player "you weren't our first choice, we wanted a Safety (of all positions) more than you".

I don't know why he would say that, Kuechly was definitely higher than Barron as was Coples. Coples would have been shifted inside as a DT. I think we had multiple visits with Kuechly and Coples, I am not sure Barron even visited us twice...

There's been a lot of talk about TB taking Tavon, but I think its a smokescreen. I think they know we really like him and are trying to bait us into moving up.

Tampa is in desperate need of a CB and a passrusher. They are good against the run, but The Golden Calf of Bristol could light up that secondary.

NO YOU SEE HE PLAYED TOO CLOSE TO THE LINE BECAUSE HE CAN'T COVER AT ALL AND NOT BECAUSE HE'S A GOOD RUN SUPPORT SAFTEY AND TEXAS DEFENSE BLEW CHUNKS AND IF E DRAFTED AN ACTUALLY GOOD COVERAGE SAFTEY I'D BE UPSET BECAUSE --

I hope so because I really liked what I saw from him, but he hasn't had to make a hit since his injury. You would think that would be a huge concern.

Wonderlic scores mean very little at pure skill positions. Ask Chris Gamble.

Being 174 pounds does though.
