if they aren't just reckless and stupid about it then there really isn't a problem. I would rather have the players abstain from heavy use of anything that would affect their performance on the field. But the occasional indulgence isn't unreasonable.

This is definitely true.

I watched an online interview where Deangelo Williams gave a tour of his house. That mofo blazes up all the time.

Why is cannabis use such a big deal? If someone's at least 18 and takes care of all their responsibilities, who cares if they use a recreational plant on their down time?

And why is that? I don't even use it and I can't understand why there is such a problem with it.

Yup, I could almost guarantee that 80% smokes weed (in the offseason, maybe not so much during the season).

It doesn't matter WHY it's illegal but the fact that it is and is punishable by time away from your profession. This is why I would be concerned with a player on my team using. Also the person who said those who smoke tend to be unmotivated made me giggle. Well done

I think the bigger thing to take away from his point is when (not if) your state finally catches up with the times and overcomes the ridiculous propaganda paved from ignorance, then go ahead and vote to decriminalize said harmless drug since your vote counts.

For what it's worth I don't really care about the legality of such things. I personally am not a user. I'm just saying at this current time it is illegal. That is all.
