I doubt Star falls to us, and even if he does, we won't take him.

I don't buy that. At all.

Yea it'd be dumb to pass up a safety in the 2nd. But this is a deep safety class. I would much rather go WR in the 2nd and hope a McDonald or Jefferson is there in the 4th.

Hell to the fuging no....

What was the deal with Star taking a year off? I dont know jack about it and havnet really heard a good assessment. Was he tired of football? What the deal is with that?

He quit football for a year in Junior college because he questioned his desire to play the sport. After a year he missed it bad and Utah took a chance on him. He's been an animal ever since....

Been thinking and as dumb as it may sound it could be true. Panthers showing a lot of interest in Star could just be a "SMOKE SCREEN". We haven't heard much about the Panthers thought on Star until after news started to come out that SF are trying to move up to 13/14. This could just be a way for the Panthers to really force SF to move up for a big deal in return. But I do think Star is our guy. Just throwing ideas out there before the draft.

I think that your logic is flawed.

If SF was really interested in him and believed we wanted him bad.....they would jump to 13 to get him. How would this benefit us? We would want them to think that the team drafting AFTER us was really interested in him. That way, they would trade those picks to us.

Am I missing what you were trying to say?

I also don't think Austin is a good fit for NYJ.

With the Tavon talk, if Al Davis was still here today Tavon would be going no.3 tomorrow night.

NYJ need a AJ Green type player not a Steve Smith type player. I see Austin as a complement not a one man show. No way is he going to be able to calm the high flyers that both Mark and Tim throw. And starting a rookie QB this year is laughable. There will be more Gabberts in this draft than Newtons.

Will Austin ever be as big as 89? Im thinking more like Jackson in Philly. Austin has a crapload of lifting to do before he gets as big as Smitty.

But, I never once said he would be a good fit in NYJ.
