I thought the first was just OK, not terrible. It had it's moments, but it's primary purpose was to introduce Thor for the Avengers movie.

And Rule No. 1 in Hollywood: if it makes money, there will be a sequel. Thor made $449,326,618 worldwide.

So how can they just ignore the other avengers now? The world is in danger? Why not call on your friends?

This and the new Wolverine look pretty much meh. Guess I'll just stick with Iron Man 3 and Man Of Steel.

I'm sure it will be addressed, starting with Iron Man 3 which comes out May 3rd. They've already mentioned the NY battle that took place in The Avengers in the Iron Man 3 trailers.

This is now Phase 2 for Marvel. Phase 1 was the first two Iron Man movies, Captain America, Incredible Hulk and Thor which all led to The Avengers.

Phase 2 will be a few more solo movies, IM3-Thor2-Cap2, which will lead to The Avengers 2.

Also the Guardians of the Galaxy movie could have some connections to Avengers 2: ""We're created in a way that we're very connected to the movies that came before us. We're even more connected to The Avengers 2, that comes after us, and so in that respect, what we would hope is that these characters would continue, and that at some point in time, they'll all meet up with different characters throughout the galaxy," said director James Gunn."

I agree the new Wolverine looks very much meh. Iron Man 3 has gotten rave reviews, and word is Man of Steel is amazing.

But if you like and follow the Iron Man series, you pretty much have to watch Thor 2 because it's ultimately in the same world/storyline as IM3. Or you could just read plot on wikipedia when the movie comes out.

yep. phase 2 time and a nice spin off from there.

the first Thor I enjoyed alot. i wasn't sure how that storyline would translate to a blockbuster and Branagh did an excellent job.

How does Olsen find the time to make badass movies and be a badass NFL player?

Most marvel movies are pretty meh to me storywise but they're at least entertaining.

I liked the first Thor. It's arguably the best of the Avengers prequels.

The trailer for this one looks good too.
