Also, Austin could have been asked who he likes in the NFL at WR for all we know. I never heard them ask him if he compared himself to him.

Even if he did, it's probably a combination of Harvin being a recent memory and wanting to compare yourself to a former OROY.

Well first of all, Austin is faster, more agile, has better hands, is more durable, hasn't had any character concerns, and is more experienced at multiple positions at this point in his career than Harvin was.

ahh yes, VASTLY different.

You're a FAIL at being a troll, you know...

The title doesn't matter if he doesn't say it in the video. They put up a graphic that said "NFL Comparison".

Tavon did have a low Wonderlic, fwiw. I still wouldn't consider him Colin Cowherd, or GreatPoupon dumb, though... Thankfully, the Wonderlic and intelligence don't matter that much for a WR in the NFL. But, if you're gonna be an analyst or a fan discussing such things, it MIGHT become a factor as to whether people think you know wtf you're talking about.

Lots of people compare Austin to Harvin. Big deal.

Lots or people probably compared Ted Ginn to Steve Smith too. Boy did they know what they were talking about!

Also, by the weight you obviously give NFL comparisons, don't you think Stedman Bailey would be a little higher on most lists?

I mean, he IS compared to Steve Smith AND Golden Tate... two players in one!

herpa derp comparison derp

this defense is gonna be fugin fun as hell to watch.

That moment in the first game when our secondary gets burnt, then again, then again. Why run when you can throw for days?

We mostly ran zone last year with our secondary, if you have a secondary that understands zone responsibilities you can compensate for lack of elite talent especially with a dominant d line. That secondary never got burned by new orleans or atlanta last year. Nakamura did.

we ended the year with the 10th ranked defense (or something like that) with a DB squad that's better now (even if only marginally so) than it was back then, and we still have several rounds of the draft left to play with as well as a couple million in cap space.

I get your concern but it's not over yet, not by a long shot.

From what I've heard, they didn't. More than one commentary on the pick I've heard has been something to the effect of "he played a very high number of snaps (indicating Utah didn't pull him out often) which led to fatigue which would explain why some perceive a possible motor issue."

The few games I watched on youtube (all snaps footage of defense, not highlights), he was usually in on 3rd down. Even 3rd and long.

In the presser for the Short pick they mentioned Star and put a specific number on his snaps: 92% of Utah's defensive snaps. So yea, they didn't pull him much.
