We currently drafted the lowest rated player in the 4th round so far

Rated by whom? Does it matter?

Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Lol are they still "trusting" gettleman. I swear if I closed my eyes I'd swear Rivera was making the picks

It's the 4th round, who cares if the "experts" think he's a reach. Gettleman likes him and that's enough for me.

well said. I'm sticking with the innocent until proving guilty mantra. Some of the posters who are all fired up over this are the same ones who were "gettlefapping" to him when he signed some bargain bin free agents to 1 year deals. Too early to judge anyones draft at this point and deep down everyone knows it, so I don't understand the overwhelming emotions right now.

I like his measurables and athleticism.

FO must have really liked him to take him in the 4th.

I think he will be a keeper.

I am still holding out hope for Rodgers in the 5th.

Gettleman has said all along we need to get big on the lines.

So why is everyone acting surprised about this draft?

Evaluation from Dane Brugler (CBS):

14. EDMUND KUGBILA | Valdosta State 6041|317 lbs|4SR Lawrenceville, GA (Central Gwinnett HS) 7/9/1990 (age 22) #70

PROJECTION: 6th-7th Round

MEASUREABLES: 6041 | 317 | 34 7-8” | 10 1-4" | 84 5-8”

COMBINE: 5.31 40-YD DASH | 1.83 10-YD | 23 REPS | 22.5” V | 8-9 BJ | 7.72 3C | 4.65 SS

PRONUNCIATION: Koo-bih-luh

2012: (14/14) (RG)

2011: (10/8) (RG)

2010: (11/10) (RT)

2009: (10/0) (OT)

STRENGTHS: Wide frame with one of the largest wingspans in the draft to swallow defenders…smooth lateral shuffle and flashes the mobility to get to the second level and out on the perimeter…extends and strikes with heavy hands to latch and redirect defenders…stout anchor and tough to move from his spot…has developed both physically and mentally, showing a strong aptitude for the game…starting experience at both RG, RT (22 RG, 10 RT)…leader on team’s 2012 National Title run.

WEAKNESSES: Disproportioned frame with some bad weight on his body…will overextend and get caught lunging…streaky upper and lower body technique…bad habit of stopping his feet, struggling to reset…allows blockers into his chest and needs to consistently keep rushers at bay and show same effort on each play…needs to improve his patience, vision and eye discipline…too passive at times, needs to develop a more nasty temperament…lacks ideal experience against top competition.

SUMMARY: Originally from Ghana, his parents won a visa lottery and moved the family to the U.S. in 2000…started playing football in HS, but a low SAT score kept him from qualifying for the FBS-level…started his career at RT, but moved inside to RG in 2011 due to injuries and found his niche…lost 30+ pounds during the pre-draft process and his weight and conditioning need monitored…smooth lateral movements, but best in a phone booth…too sloppy, but has NFL skills to work with.

look at his dadgum arms. He's got kind of a Abdullah the Butcher look to him.

Jesus. He said in his interview that Ray Brown thinks he can be great. Brown is a guy who played forever in the league. I got no major issues with this pick.

The only reason that he went Div2 instead of bama and florida (who recruited him) was because of low sat scores. Moved here when he was 10 from Ghana. Not a dumb kid, just a victim of the system. I am dancing in the street literally over this draft.

Helped pave the way to a national title for Valdosta. Our staff clearly saw something in him; but Bakhtiari and B. Jones were right there.

Swope would be a steal in the 5th but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Zod, do I need to buy you a decent web host? What hell do you run this thing on, some $4.95/month plan from HostGator?
