I just watched his game vs. Tennessee on youtube and he was quite bad.

He had a nice interception in that game.

Does this mean that Gettleman is no longer an idiot?

i tweeted at him some congrats and to go win the safety job. I hate Alabama, but if this guy can compete and win a starting job and upgrade our secondary, I'll be happy

This may end up being the 2nd best rookie pickup this offseason next to Star.

I believe Robert and this whole 2013 draft class is going to surprise a lot of fans.

is that your way of saying you like the pick up?

More likely it's a low opinion of the talent we have now. You don't have much if a UDFA can come in and start.

When fans were calling Gettleman, "GOD", I was skeptical of him, waited, and wanted to see what he can bring. Well, after today, Gettleman is "GOD" in my eyes!

Adds depth, competition, and hopefully a reason to kick Naka to the curb.

I'm definitely excited about the FA signings, most of the draft picks, and so far at least one of the UDFA signings... I may not elevate him to God status just yet, but I do believe he's done an excellent job top to bottom since taking over...

Chris Harris of the Broncos was on the NFL All-Rookie Team as a UDFA in 2011. He was also the 5th-ranked CB by PFF this year.

Sam Shields of the Packers was a UDFA.

Brandon Browner of the Seahawks was a UDFA.

Tony Carter, also of the Broncos, was a UDFA.

Need I keep going?

STRENGTHS: Possesses a long, lean build well-suited to today's pass-happy NFL. Reads the quarterback's eyes and is a smooth accelerator, showing a burst to close on underneath routes. Times his leaps well in jump-ball situations and extends his arms to make a play at its highest point. Excellent ball skills, including the ability to track the ball over his shoulder, extend to catch away from his frame and the ability to sneak his hands under the ball to corral pass deflections.

Do we really need this when we have Nakamura?

He did pick off a terrible underthrow, but up to that point was beat all day and lost in run support.
