Steve Clifford will get his interview this Tuesday and Jeff Hornacek is expected to get his interview by the end of the week.

Alvin Gentry and Elston Turner have already interviewed for the job.

I have a feeling that we aren't going to hire a guy like Gentry (someone who is well known). It's not necessarily a bad thing, though, as long as they make the right hire this time. I really wish that we would've just kept Dunlap for one more season, because I didn't think that he did all that bad (made mistakes, but helped us improve a lot from last season as well). He wasn't the right coach, though, so I suppose that if we were going to look for another coach soon, we may as well do it now and let him grow with our young roster.

Sampson was one of the hottest, most intriguing college basketball coaches 10 years ago. They don't just had the keys to anybody at Indiana. He is unscrupulous and has never proven he can be a HC in the NBA. There's a reason he has been buried on an NBA bench and hasn't gone back to a college job. No school wants to touch him. He isn't Calipari or even Bruce Pearl.

I agree. I think he may just become the top guy on our list and others as well.

Rick Bonnell: Bobcats aren't saying anything about coach search, except they're in no rush. Makes me wonder if they're waiting on someone in playoffs. Twitter @rick_bonnell

Alvin Gentry is now being targeted by the Clippers, he is said to be one of their top five candidates along with Nate McMillan, Lionell Hollins, Byron Scot, and an unnamed candadite (no, it's not Jackson).

This could effect the Hornets search for a new coach.

Some updates:

QUIN SNYDER

Elsewhere, the Charlotte Bobcats really like Quin Snyder, who spent last season assisting CSKA Moscow. Snyder was viewed as a favorite last season, and sources say Bobcats GM Rich Cho wanted to hire him over the recently fired Mike Dunlap. ESPN.com

Asked if he had ever spoken with Michael Jordan about a possible reunion in Charlotte, Phil Jackson said, yes, in fact, they had. But it was in that playful Jacksonian way that slams the door on a budding issue before reopening it just a crack. “Last year when he was searching for a coach, we talked about it,” he said. “We talked a little bit about what he was looking for. I had a couple of people I could recommend to him. He said, ‘You’re not interested in this, are you?’ I said, no, I’m not, I can’t do that right now.” New York Times

Man, that's why I don't respect Jackson because he has never proven how great of a coach he is...  Say what you want but, he hasn't ever had to win with a team that wasn't loaded with hall-of-fame talent.  He has never built a team up, he steps in when the talent is already assembled and then manages personalities long enough to win with them.  Color me unimpressed.  Come here and win, and then I'll call you one of the greatest of all time.

I'm really not liking the Quin Snyder news.  Sounds like he's the early favorite, especially if Cho wanted to hire him last year.  I'm wondering who overruled him?  Higgins?  MJ?  Whoever it was, that was a really dumb move.  I'm just gonna trust they will hire the right guy this time and see where they went wrong the last time and correct that this time around.
