agreed. i think star is a lot more disciplined than jenks was.

Some guys get "it" and some guys don't.  Jenks had all the talent in the world, he just had to much "fug it" in him.

Glad you appreciated the thread everyone...I may do one for Short but if I do it will be around a week from now or so.

Great write up! I think our Rookie DT's will struggle some in the first year, which is very common. I think we have a definite future stud in Star though. Still not sold on Short. Pass rush specialist DT's tend to bust at an extremely high rate IMO. I think they get down on themselves when they dont have immediate production and arent able to get sexy numbers against NFL O lineman.

I think Short will be fine. Similar to Star, Kawann played a large number of snaps and didn't have a great supporting cast. He has the fastest first step of all DTs in this draft and possesses an array of pass rushing moves that Richardson and Floyd lack. 7 sacks and 17 TFLs are impressive stats. We got an anchor in Star, a good passing duo in Hardy and Johnson, a solid rotational player in Dwan, an up-and-comer in Alexander and depth with Kearse, Cole and possibly Chandler. KK will thrive here.

Out of curiosity I went to see how many Pac 12 O-Linemen made it in the draft. I got 2 - a 4th and a 6th. So he hasn't really had to face elite linemen.

On the other hand the Pac -12 isn't the gulf south either.

Can't wait to see him play
