I'm working on trying to get old films on the big screen. What would you like to see?

Been brainstorming for some time and i saw an article in USA Today about Alamo Drafthouse having the Summer of 83 movie series which is just an awesome idea.

I have some very obscure movies I would like to see on the big screen.

What says the huddle on choices of film in a theatre?

A friend of mine works at a theater part time in Ky. And does this. Finding decent prints can be difficult but he's had some great flicks in over the years.

I saw Apocolypse Now at the Manor theatre in Charlotte when I was in HS and it was incredible.

That scene where Lawrence Fishburn gets shot on the boat and the tape of his mom is playing in the background was intense.

What's that old ass movie where the American guy gets locked up in a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle in heroin?

It'll be tough to beat the summer of 82 series.

Honestly I'm a bit annoyed with Alamo lately. They're getting too big for their britches (like a lot of things in Austin).
